Please Note: This listing was compiled by Jim Moyes, Marc Okkonen and Ron Pesch from a variety of sources. It is comprised of players who, we believe, attended high school in Michigan. In general, this is an educated guess based on place of birth, or in some instances, places of death.
For example, Bobby Grich was born in Muskegon, however, the family moved away before his high school years. Hence, he is not included in this listing.
When the actual high school is known, the letters HS follow the school name. Otherwise, the listing is the city of birth. The list of senior years is an approximation and is preceded by the letter "c." When the senior year is known, the "c." is eliminated. College information is partially drawn from the research of Cappy Gagnon.
Thanks to suggestions, I have added a list of Negro League players and a list of individuals who have advanced to the Big Leagues as a manager or coach. These are in the early stages of development.
